The arrangement has a sensor (2) for pre-detection of rail strands, where the sensor is arranged in driving direction of a locomotive. A deviation from the straight rail strand is fed for radii detection by transmission elements of a processing unit (11). The sensor is inserted on an electromagnetic base as ultrasound sensor or photonic mixer device sensor.
