Calibration method of and calibration device for a MEMS sensor of a microcircuit board in a portable electronic device

The method involves emitting a calibration prompt of a microelectromechanical system movement sensor e.g. twin axis accelerometer, by a microcircuit card via a user interface of a portable or pocket type host electronic device i.e. portable telephone. The calibration prompt received by the card, is accepted to activate the calibration of an offset and/or a gain of the movement sensor by measuring the offset and/or the gain of the movement sensor and by determining corresponding correction data during a correction phase.
