A hybrid controller (10) is adapted to the traction motor and provided with control connections (2) e.g. ignition keys, accelerator and gear selector lever of an automatic transmission and a brake light switch, to be connected among control elements (9) and a vehicle controller (3). The hybrid controller avoids providing no vehicle bus signals for detecting the signals of the control connections. An independent claim is also included for a method for equipping a vehicle with a combustion engine by a converting unit.",
