Auto floor covering device and assembly thereof

The device (6) has a floor mat (8) for covering a carpet (4) of a floor of a motor vehicle. The floor mat is provided with attachment parts formed of lateral hooks (12) and a front hook (14) engaging with corresponding attachment parts formed of cavities of the carpet for removable fixation of the floor mat on the carpet. A tensioning element formed of rod (26) and flexible rod is connected under the floor mat so as to maintain a floor mat zone in tension. The tensioning element extends between opposite edges of the floor mat.
