Hybrid wind-solar inverters

Certain embodiments of the invention may include systems and methods for providing a hybrid wind-solar inverter. According to an example embodiment of the invention, a method for directing power (108,110) from alternative power sources (102,104) to an electrical grid (122) is provided. The method can include receiving at least two input DC power signals (108,110) from a plurality of power sources (102,104,106); receiving one or more control signals (126) from the electrical grid (122); directing, based at least in part on the one or more control signals (126), at least some of the input DC power signals (108,110) to an output DC power signal (116); and, transforming the output DC power signal (116) to an output AC power signal (119) for transmission via the electrical grid (122).
