The control module (200') has two molds (211', 221') for accommodating end conductors of electrochemical battery cells, and electrical contacts (241, 242) for tapping-off battery cell voltage. A temperature sensor (230) determines the temperature of the battery cells. The molds are designed such that the molds perform an implementation operation for implementing the end conductors when the control module is placed on the battery cells. The electrical contacts and the temperature sensor are integrated in the control module. Independent claims are also included for the following: (1) a system comprising a processing unit connected with a control module (2) a method for charging a battery system.
