Method and device for measuring the electric current supplied by a high-voltage line to a railway vehicle

The device has a high voltage measuring unit comprising connection units (2) e.g. connection tabs, for connecting the device in two junction points (4) of a power bus (3) of a railway vehicle. Measurement members (7) measures potential difference between the junction points of the bus. A correction unit (10) has a processing unit (9) for correcting the measured potential difference based on ohmic derivative of a material of the power bus with the variation of the temperature. A current estimation unit estimates the current from the potential difference. An independent claim is also included for a method for measuring electric current supplied by a high voltage line to a railway vehicle.
