The gas pedal unit has a gas pedal (11) and an operating device (20) for adjusting the restoring force, where the gas pedal is impinged with the restoring force. The operating device is formed such that the restoring force change is decreased with the adjustment of a greater restoring force at the gas pedal over the gas pedal path.
