Anti-puncture device for non-pneumatic assembly in a two-wheeled vehicle and an assembly fitted therewith

The device has a cross-linked and expanded puncture-resistant annular support (30) mounted between a wheel rim (10) and a tire (20) of a non-pneumatic mounted assembly (1) to support the tire. The support is formed of a closed cellular type cross-linked rubber composition. The composition includes reinforcing inorganic filler, organic blowing agent and polyamide based structural reinforcement textile fibers. The active grade zinc oxide in the composition activates thermal decomposition of the agent to stabilize expansion of the support by giving a minimized average density to the support. An independent claim is also included for a non-pneumatic mounted assembly of a two-wheeled vehicle such as bicycle, comprising a puncture-resistant device.
