The fuel cell system 1000 includes a feedstock supplying section such as a pressurizing pump 10 for supplying the feedstock to the reformer 20; a burner 40 adapted to combust the fuel gas that was not consumed by electricity generation in the fuel cell 100, and heat the reformer 20; a temperature sensor 41 for sensing the temperature of the burner 40; and a control unit 50 adapted to control on the basis of the sensed temperature the feed rate of the feedstock supplied from the feedstock supplying section to the reformer 20, so as to maintain the temperature of the reformer 20 within a prescribed temperature range optimized for reforming the feedstock.",
