Low-noise drive for positioning systems

The drive (1) has a drive unit (2) arranged on a drive side (AN) and comprising a drive (3) e.g. electromagnetic drive or magnetostrictive drive or electrostrictive drive, and a driving toothed wheel (4). An output gear wheel (5) stays in an effective connection with the driving toothed wheel on an output side (AB). The driving wheel and the output wheel have different teeth on the drive side and the output side. The drive (3) displaces the driving toothed wheel into tumbling motion such that the output gear wheel is displaced into rotary motion, where the driving wheel consists of plastic.
