Method for determining the air mass in an electronically controlled pneumatic spring system for motor vehicles and device for carrying out the method
DRIVE

The method involves assigning pneumatic spring damping units (FL, FR, RL, RR) to each of vehicle wheels. An air pressure in a pneumatic spring system (1) is determined, and an air mass in the pneumatic spring system is subsequently computed using an output signal of an individual pressure sensor (10). An air pressure in a storage tank (2) is measured with opened switchover valves (4, 5) and closed valve units (6-9) of the pneumatic spring damping unit. An independent claim is also included for a device for determining air mass in an electronically adjustable pneumatic spring system for a motor vehicle.
