Reduction of electromagnetic interference of a direct-current rail track
DRIVE
March 23, 2011
If a source of electromagnetic fields induces alternating-current voltages in an unearthed direct-current track, the contact safety of the direct-current track is improved according to the invention by providing an electrical conductor in the vicinity of rails, said conductor extending substantially parallel to the rails and not being electrically connected to them, and by earthing the conductor.
