The method involves producing cold by a liquid absorption refrigerating system that is incorporated in a heat engine e.g. rotary or piston type volumetric heat engine, using available and/or recuperated heat. A flow of working air in the heat engine is cooled during suction of air or after compression of air in a combustion turbine by turbochargers, using the cold produced by an effect of exothermic and endothermic reactions of the liquid absorption refrigerating system.
