Hydraulic transaxle

A hydraulic transaxle (1), comprising: a pair of right and left motor shafts (23b); an axle casing (2,2R,2L) supporting the pair of motor shafts (23b), the axle casing (2,2R,2L) having an opening (60) at front or rear side thereof and formed therein with a chamber (S); and an assembly (120) including a cover (61; 91; 101) and a pair of hydraulic motors (23R,23L) fastened to the cover (61; 91; 101) for driving the respective motor shafts (23b), wherein the assembly (120) is attached to the axle casing (2,2R,2L) so as to install the pair of hydraulic motors (23R,23L) into the chamber (S) of the axle casing (2,2R,2L) through the opening (60), and to cover the opening (60) with the cover (61; 91; 101) so as to enclose the pair of hydraulic motors (23R,23L) by the axle casing (2,2R,2L) and the cover (61; 91; 101).
