The invention provides for a method for using a stereovision camera arrangement and such an arrangement comprising at least two cameras (12, 14), each of the cameras (12, 14) acquires an image, so that a stereo image pair is captured by the stereovision camera arrangement and stereo matching is performed to achieve a disparity map for each image, whereby a blind disparity region (BDR) is defined and each image together with the corresponding disparity map is analysed to detect targets within the BDR.
