"textContent": "An actuator (A) of a steering lock device has a tubular member (17) fitted over the outer periphery of a lock pin (14) and rotated by an electric motor (19). Among the inner peripheral surface of the tubular member (17) and the outer peripheral surface of the lock pin (14), the outer peripheral surface of the lock pin (14) is provided with a helical cam groove (14e). Balls (21) are mounted between the cam groove (14e) and ball retaining grooves (17a, 17b) in the tubular member (17). A guide pin (23) fitted in the lock pin (14) is faced to a cam surface (17d) formed on the inner peripheral surface of the tubular member (17). Even if the bottoms of the ball retaining grooves (17a, 17b) wear away to render the cam groove (14e) unable to pull the lock pin (14) out of a recess (12a), the cam surface (17d) and the guide pin (23) can completely pull the lock pin (14) out of the recess (12a). Also, the cam groove (14e) and the cam surface (17d) are separately mounted to the tubular member (17) and to the lock pin (14), so that the actuator (A) is reduced in size.",
