A storage rack (1) comprising a storage unit housing defining at least one longitudinally extending aperture (5) adapted to receive at least one storable member (8), a shock dampener (100) is positioned along an inner surface of the at least one aperture (5). The shock dampener (100) is configured such that a radial clearance exists between the shock dampener (100) and a storable member (8) positioned within a respective aperture (5). The radial gap defines a minimal clearance such that the storable member (8) is longitudinally moveable relative to the shock dampener (100).
