Internal combustion engine with exhaust gas recirculation and method to operate such an internal combustion engine

The engine (1) has an inlet duct conveying combustible gas from a cylinder (2) via an exhaust discharging system (3). A set of exhaust gas recirculation systems (5, 9) includes a set of conductors (6, 10), where one of the conductors offsets from the exhaust discharging system and leads into an intake system (4). The conductors are provided in a cooling device (8) for cooling the re-circulated exhaust gas, and are arranged in a set of controlling elements (7, 11) for adjusting the re-circulated exhaust gas at the exhaust gas recirculation systems. An independent claim is also included for a method for operating an internal combustion engine.
