"textContent": "There is provided a method for the production of an electrode catalyst that is capable of increasing the effective surface area of a catalyst metal and, further, of realizing high-loading of the catalyst metal by using a wet process and a dry process in combination. The method for the production of an electrode catalyst comprises: a first step (wet process) of dispersing and mixing a carrier C such as carbon, etc., and a catalyst material or a catalyst material precursor S1' in a solvent Y to produce an intermediate T1 of the electrode catalyst in which the catalyst material S1 is attached to a surface of the carrier C; and a second step (dry process) of further attaching a catalyst material S2 to a surface of this intermediate T1 under dry conditions to produce a catalyst-loaded carrier particle T2.",
