Furthermore the method (700) comprises a step of providing (720) at least one event cascade (600a - 600d), the event cascade (600a - 600d) representing a predefined temporal sequence of a values of a plurality of parameter signals to be received and a step of releasing (730, 530) a triggering of the passengers safety means (140, 150, 160) in the vehicle (100) if a chronological order of values of different parameter signals corresponds to values of the provided event cascade (600a - 600d).
