"textContent": "A microgrid controller may determine, based on load information and energy resource information, that a group of renewable-energy-based (REB) energy resource systems is producing excess renewable energy relative to a load demand on a microgrid; calculate an amount of excess renewable energy produced by the group of REB energy resource systems; transmit, based on the group of REB energy resource systems producing excess renewable energy, a start command, to a balance of plant (BOP) controller, for starting the electrolyzer; transmit, based on receiving a readiness status from the BOP controller indicating that the electrolyzer has successfully started, a communication signal, to the BOP controller, indicating the amount of excess renewable energy for initiating a production of an amount of renewable fuel that is proportional to the amount of excess renewable energy; and dispatch the excess renewable energy to the electrolyzer for producing the renewable fuel.",
