An electric motor within the housing includes a stator and a rotor supported for rotation relative to the stator. A power take-off shaft receives torque from the rotor, protrudes from one of the flange or a second side of the housing adjacent the first side, and is configured to transfer torque to the piece of power equipment. A battery receptacle is coupled to the housing and includes a second terminal electrically connected to the controller and engageable with a first terminal of a battery pack to transfer current between the battery pack and the motor.",
