"textContent": "A system for automated vehicle readiness and upfitting monitoring for efficient fleet management includes sensors equipped to vehicles. Each sensor has a distinct field of view of a vehicle or of surroundings of the vehicles. A human machine interface (HMI) accessible by a vehicle fleet manager, a cloud computing server, and a controller are in communication with each other and with the vehicles. The controller executes a fleet management application (FMA) with a first control logic for authorized person detection (APD); a second control logic for cargo and upfitting (CU) management; and a third control logic for vehicle daily readiness (VDR) management. Outputs from the first, second and third control logics are transmitted to the HMI and the cloud computing server, and the FMA suggests a vehicle downtime mitigation strategy to the fleet manager based on the outputs from the first, second, and third control logics.",
