The control method includes: obtaining MLPE state characterization information of the photovoltaic string; determining, based on the MLPE state characterization information, whether there is at least one MLPE device that fails to be in a normal output state; and if so, controlling a corresponding string current to be less than a preset threshold. Therefore, the power consumption of corresponding MLPE devices in the bypass operation state is reduced, allowing the MLPE devices to adopt a diode with a lower power capacity and a heat dissipation design with a lower heat dissipation requirement, and saving system costs.",
