"textContent": "A vehicle display device that can easily determine the driver's state of wearing polarized sunglasses is provided. A vehicle display device includes a polarizer that is disposed in front of a lens of a camera that continuously acquires face images of a driver P so that a polarization direction becomes a horizontal direction that is orthogonal to a vertical direction. In the vehicle display device, a control unit calculates a luminance value corresponding to each face image, and causes a storage unit to store the calculated luminance values therein as the luminance value information in association with a time series. The control unit then compares the current luminance value information with the past luminance value information in a plurality of pieces of luminance value information stored in the storage unit and when the current luminance value information decreases, determines that the driver puts on the polarized sunglasses.",
