ELECTRONIC DEVICE AND METHOD FOR MEASURING VOLTAGE OF BATTERY IN ELECTRONIC DEVICE

An electronic device, according to various embodiments, comprises: a battery connecting circuit; a charging circuit for supplying power supplied from an external electronic device to a component and battery of the electronic device; and a processor. The processor may be configured to: in a first state in which the electronic device of which the battery is not connected to the battery connecting circuit receives power from the external electronic device, measure the voltage of the battery when it is confirmed that the battery is connected to the battery connecting circuit; and after confirming the capacity of the battery on the basis of the measured voltage, switch to a second state in which the charging circuit supplies power from the external electronic device to the battery connected to the battery connecting circuit.
