The air conditioner has an air duct distribution system having air outlets and a temperature device. A control device adjusting the interior temperature, has a mathematical model based controller for distributing the air mass flow from the individual air outlet according to a desired value. The vehicle-speed dependant dynamic pressure is determined over an air intake of the distribution system. An independent claim is also included for a method for adjusting the air mass flow from the air outlet of the air duct distribution system.
