A rubber composition and a tire with such a rubber composition containing in-situ resin

There is disclosed a rubber composition and a pneumatic tire having a component containing such a rubber composition. The rubber composition comprises (A) a sulfur-vulcanized rubber compound; and (B) the reaction product of (1) a methylene acceptor; and (2) a combination methylene donor comprising hexamethylenetetramine and at least one N-substituted oxymethyl melamine.
