Improvements to multifunction aircraft probes
DRIVE
June 7, 2006
Improved multifunction probe having circumferentially spaced pairs of sensing parts (22,24). An elongate, conically shaped probe element is rotatable about an axis. A central pressure port (20) picks up dynamic pressure. A pair of inner pneumatic ports (22,24) in slit shape is symmetrically arranged at a first angle from the central port, e.g. 45 degrees, and dedicated to angle of attack measurements. A pair of outer pressure ports (26) is arranged at a larger angle, e.g. 90 degrees, and dedicated to air data pressure sensing.
