Vehicle steering wheel with air bag restraint system

The vehicle steering wheel with a movable airbag module (24) which can be pressed down by a limited axial travel to create a horn signal. A contact-less working sensor system (22a,22b) is provided for the sensing of the travel. The airbag module is guided parallel to the steering axis of the steering wheel (20), whereby several radially installed guide elements (34) are provided between the airbag module and its housing (26). The airbag module is mounted on a guide unit by only one compression spring.
