A portable communication apparatus having navigation means for guiding a route is configured to include: a current position calculation part for calculating a current position on the basis of GPS radio waves, a route guidance part for performing guidance along the route; and a position correction part for correcting the current position in corporation with an apparatus different from the portable communication apparatus. The portable communication apparatus sets a position correction inhibited section where a position correction process by the position correction part is inhibited on a map including the route and inhibits the position correction process when the current position calculated by the current position calculation part exists within the position correction inhibited section.
