Locking system for a vehicle

The system has a control unit for the control of closing elements and provided with an ultrasonic sensor, connected with the control unit. The ultrasonic sensor is designed as local ultrasonic sensor (1) and provided as the control unit such that it operates dependently on the closing elements. The ultrasonic sensor (1) having a change of an object is recorded such that a change of location of the object being dependent on the recorded change allows the closing elements to be operated by the control unit.
