Exhaust gas recirculation system for an internal combustion engine

The device has an adjusting body (4) arranged between an exhaust gas inlet and an exhaust gas outlet. A shaft (7) is arranged outside of flow through sections in an exhaust gas recirculation channel (1). The body has a sided superficies surface (14) that corresponds with a truncated cone shaped seat surface (5) and is designed in spherical section shape. A plate body produces connection between the shaft and body.
