membrane accumulator

The membrane accumulator for a slip-controlled vehicle brake system is installed in a hydraulic connection between a wheel brake and a hydraulic pump and has a membrane (2) of elastic material. The membrane is acted upon by a preloaded spring (21) indirectly through a membrane plate (20) which is constructed concave with regard to the pressure medium inlet (4) and/or the pressure medium outlet. The membrane plate has a cup shape with the preloaded spring fitting round the wall (23) and bearing upon the edge (24).
