Electrical connector

The connector has a connecting unit (10) arranged in a recess of a base structure of a vehicle, and a connecting unit (12) designed complementary to the unit (10). A drive mechanism is arranged in the area of a swivel axis. The mechanism is operated between a vehicle seat and a cover for the recess, to open the recess, which is closed by the cover in a mounting position of the seat, during swiveling of the seat in the seating position.
