The long dryer is connected to a compressed air source via connector (4) and flexible hose (5), and has an air outlet extending along its side. The outlet is slot-shaped and/or consists of a row of outlet apertures (3) to generate a curtain-like drying flow (6). The outlets are formed in a housing (1) and/or the dryer may have a long bar with an air supply hose. Both components have telescopic parts. The dryer also has a valve to interrupt and/or regulate the compressed air flow.
