Additive metering method
DRIVE
April 26, 2006
The method involves determining additive dosage rate in two successive inspection intervals of a diesel particulate filter. Each interval is determined to be less than a normal driving route of a motor vehicle between two successive regeneration cycles of the filter and a normal tank period for refueling a fuel tank of the vehicle. The inspection interval is extended when the nominal dosage rate is selected based on a worst-case.
