Power distribution network for a vehicle

The network has connection posts, each comprising a communication unit (33) permitting to transmit and receive information between corresponding post and other posts. The information represents the power provided by the corresponding post. Each post has a control unit (36) that controls a power limitation unit (30) according to the received information. The unit (30) limits power provided to functional units connected to the posts. An independent claim is also included for a method for distribution of electrical power through a network in a vehicle.
