Measuring method and device for determining the depth of an erosion as it forms

A quayside scour measurement procedure measures the sink depth in a sediment bottom (S) of a vertically moving sinker at points close to the quay (Q) construction with maximum and instantaneous scour (K) measured using sinkers of appropriate densities (12) relative to the sediment and water.
