Adjusting device for a vehicle seat

DRIVE March 29, 2006
Source
The system has lower and upper actuators allowing movement of lower and upper carriages of a front driver seat relative to lower and upper units of a vehicle structure along a longitudinal axis, respectively. Sensors measure respective speeds of the movement of the carriages. A control unit controls the actuators to adjust a position of the seat based on the speed measurements and a request of a user. An independent claim is also included for a method of adjusting a front driver seat of a motor vehicle (claimed).
