CONSTRUCTION IMPROVEMENTS TO BE IMPLEMENTED DURING THE CUSTOMISATION, TRANSFORMATION OR CONVERSION OF VEHICLES, IN ORDER TO PROVIDE ACCESS FOR AND TO ENABLE THE TRANSPORT OF DISABLED AND/OR WHEELCHAIR-BOUND PERSONS

These improvements basically consist in a single-frame chassis device located under the original single-frame type vehicle chassis, a dismountable side double leaf ramp, a modification of the axle or suspension bridge, a system to compress the vehicle suspension and a rotating step. The improvements are applicable to the changes, transformations or conversions to be carried out on single-frame type vehicles and on those where it is intended to gain inside height and/or to decrease the vehicle floor level to ground level to facilitate access to disabled persons who cannot walk or who are provided with wheelchairs, whether said access is by ramp or step (figure 2).
