Brake actuating device for a vehicle

The brake manipulation unit is assembled of the brake pedal (3) suspended from a bearing element (2) and the operating unit (5) positioned under the bonnet and separated from the pedal (3) by a partition (1). The front area (8) of the housing accommodating the master cylinder (7) has an inclined shape. A dome (6) in front of the housing (7) is pushed against the housing (7) in case of a head-on collision causing the unit to rotate around a transversal axis (20, 21, 22) and removing the brake pedal (3) from the feet and legs of the driver.
