Bodywork component, especially vehicle roof panel

The panel part has an outer part defining a portion of an outer skin of a vehicle. A rear side of the outer part is back foamed with a polyurethane material to form an inner layer (18). The inner layer partially projects upwards over an outer border of the outer part. Hollow bodies (20) extend transversely to a longitudinal direction of the vehicle and is enclosed and surrounded by the layer in order to stiffen the panel part.
