Air conditioning system for a vehicle with engine-independent cooling

The system has two serially connected compressors (5, 6) to recycle a cooling medium in a refrigerant cycle (4) during normal operation of an engine of a motor vehicle and when the engine is in off-condition, respectively. Two condensors (7, 14) are arranged parallely in the cycle to cool the medium from the respective compressors. One condensor is cooled by an air stream and the other is cooled by an electrically operated blower.
