Sliding roof system

The sliding roof system has a frame, a cover (14) that can be slid into a ventilation position and a lateral panel (18) that extends laterally under the cover in a covering position. The lateral panel is attached to the frame. The cover can be moved between a closed position, a ventilation position and an open position.
