DRIVE March 1, 2006
Source
A cloche-like steering wheel (5) has a supporting base (6) fixed to a steering column (7), and a pair of specular grips (13, 14) connected removably to the supporting base (6). The pair of grips (13, 14) is selectable from a number of pairs of grips of different shapes and/or sizes to customize the steering wheel (5). The steering wheel has a number of control buttons (27, 28, 29, 30, 43, 44) arranged partly on the supporting base (6) and partly on the grips (13, 14) to permit operation of the control buttons without the driver's hands being removed from the steering wheel (5). More specifically, the left-hand grip has a left-turn indicator control button and a headlight flash control button, and the right-hand grip has a right-turn indicator control button and a pulsating-mode windscreen-wiper control button.
