Hydrogen powered internal combustion engine and operating method therefore
DRIVE
March 1, 2006
The engine has a fuel tank from which fuel is introduced into a suction layer or a combustion chamber of the internal-combustion engine through a suitable valve. A solid storage is connected to a fuel pipe that is guided to the suitable valve for storage of hydrogen. The storage is designed as metal hydride storage. A stop valve is provided in a branch conduit that is guided to the solid storage. An independent claim is also included for a method for operating hydrogen powered internal combustion engine.
