The window pane (10) for a vehicle is provided with an identification apparatus (4) between a pair of panes. The identification apparatus (4) is provided with an antenna (2) capable of transmitting and receiving information and a storage means connected to the antenna (2) and storing signals transmitted and received via the antenna (2). By using an IC chip (3) to implement the storage means, storage of a large volume of data is enabled. Information stored in the window pane (10) for a vehicle may include a serial number, time of production time and location of production. Since the window pane (10) for a vehicle is provided with an antenna (2) capable of transmitting and receiving information, the information is stored in the window pane (10) for a vehicle by writing the information in the IC chip (3).",
