Method for the display of cartographic information and of aeronautical areas on an aeroplane screen

Cartographic image synthesizing method involves displaying, in a sub-dial (1), an altimetric representation having aeronautical zones (5, 6) in altitude bracket corresponding to a flying phase and filtered based on geographical location and vertical position of an aircraft. The filtering of zones based on the position is determination of the zones whose ceiling and floor altitudes are greater and lower than lower and upper altitude limits, respectively. An independent claim is also included for a helicopter having a display screen.
